FBR to arrange meeting of tax collectors on Friday

TaxChairman Federal Board of Revenue Ansar Javaid has convened a meeting of all tax collectors in city on Friday to review their targets and expedite the pace of recovery of pending taxes. Chief Collector, Customs, Lutfullah Virk, Chief Commissioner, Large Tax Unit, Mustafa Ashraf, Collector, Preventive Juneid Akram, Collector, Appraisement, Zeba Hai Azhar and other senior officers from inland revenue and customs will apprise him of tax collection targets.

Fed govt may include Gwadar linkages project in budget

ISLAMABAD: The federal government is expected to include Gwadar linkages project in next year’s development budget aiming at linking it with Pakistani rail network to connect Gwadar with neighbouring countries. Feasibility study of the project has been completed with an estimated cost of Rs 180.163 billion, according to the available official details.

An official said there was a proposal for connecting Gwadar Sea Port with Pakistan Railways’ existing network. The feasibility study in this regard has been completed.
